Posted on May 7, 2015 by PLT Staff

Recording of a lecture given by John M. Perkins at the Spring Institute for Lived Theology 2009 in Charlottesville, Virginia. The lecture begins at the 10 minute marker, after a welcome address by Charles Marsh and music led by Alex Mejias. Perkins explores his philosophy of leadership, tracing it back to the principles of leadership found in the Bible. He focuses on Moses, God’s first leader, and discusses the aspects of leadership Moses embodied. There is a Q&A after the lecture.

Excerpt: “I say that God needs to raise up in our generation leaders, that understand justice for the 21st century. I believe that God is raising up that kind of leadership. I think that you folks represent a whole new form of leadership in our society.”
