The Project on Lived Theology actively engages with the world around us to explore theological themes in community.
Workgroups
Workgroup participants bring their diverse theological and methodological backgrounds to focus on specific themes in lived theology and to concentrate on a specific set of questions. Past workgroups have studied community building, race, power, city and congregation, and civil courage.
Virginia Seminar
The Virginia Seminar provides research support for scholars and practitioners as well as opportunities for creative and fruitful exchange. The seminar produces single-authored volumes on theology and lived experience that are modest in length and written for a broad audience.
What We're Reading
We frequently recommend books and other publications that we think are worthwhile, relevant, and accessible explorations of lived theology, the civil rights movement, and more.
