Lecture given by Cheryl Sanders and Ray Rivera at the Conference on Lived Theology and Civil Courage in Charlottesville, Virginia. Rivera shares his personal background and how it fostered his passion for holistic ministry. He argues that for ministry you need a transcendent vision, prophetic integrity, and an interactive ministry.

Excerpt: “So Ezekiel says so the spirit lifted me up and took me away and I went in bitterness in the heat of the spirit. But the hand of the Lord was strong upon me. Because I went, even if I was bitter, even if I was heated, even if it was difficult, even if sometimes, I didn’t even want to go, come on, say amen. Because I went, the hand of the Lord was strong upon me.”
