AnneMarie Mingo

AnneMarie Mingo is an assistant professor of African American studies and women’s studies at Penn State University. Her research interests include the civil rights movement and the South African apartheid movement, socio-religious activism of black women, and theological and ethical influences in social movements. She most recently contributed to a book entitled Contesting Post-Racialism: Conflicted Churches in the United States and South Africa with a chapter called “They Must Have a Different God Than Our God”: Towards a Lived Theology of Black Churchwomen during the United States Civil Rights Movement.
