Jemar Tisby

Jemar Tisby (BA, Notre Dame; MDiv, Reformed Theological Seminary, Jackson) is the founder and CEO of The Witness, Inc., an organization dedicated to Black uplift from a Christian perspective. He is also the co-host of the “Pass The Mic” podcast, which amplifies dynamic voices for a diverse church. His writing has been featured in the Washington Post, CNN, The Atlantic, and the New York Times. He has spoken nation-wide at conferences on racial justice, U.S. history, and Christianity, and is the author of the award-winning book The Color of Compromise: The Truth about the American Church’s Complicity in Racism and How to Fight Racism: Courageous Christianity and the Journey toward Racial Justice.
