Donyelle Charlotte McCray
Donyelle Charlotte McCray is an assistant professor of homiletics, the director of multicultural ministries and the associate director of the Deep Calls to Deep preaching program at Virginia Theological Seminary; she will join Yale Divinity School this fall as an assistant professor of homiletics. Her primary research interests include homiletics, spirituality, Christian mysticism and ecclesiology. She is the recipient of the Bell-Woolfall Fellowship and the James H. Costen North American Doctoral Fellowship. McCray is the author of five scholarly articles (published or in press) and she is working on a book exploring the role of risk-taking as an essential part of spiritual life.
